Document Requirements
Passport
The passport should not cause doubts about its authenticity and that it belongs to its owner. It should not contain any marks, erasures, corrections or any other records which are not certified by the competent authorities of a foreign state and should not have any torn pages. It should contain at least two blank pages.
Photograph
The size of the photo should be 3,5 x 4,5 cm.
Original Color passport photo With plain Light or White background, Clear Front facial image with the face in the middle of the photo (top of the shoulders included) - the photo must be taken within the last 6 months before applying for a visa.
Scanned or self- taken pictures are at once recognized and unfortunately are unacceptable.
Travel insurance certificate
When applying for a Russian visa you should provide a health insurance certificate or a clear letter of confirmation from your insurance company stating your full name, birthdate, AND your company name and address (in case of a collective company insurance), period of validity (= max. acceptable period of the validity of your visa) and the coverage area Russia or the World. In case of an application for a Business double or multiple visa, it is enough to have your first trip to Russia covered by the confirmation. The medical travel insurance should ensure the coverage of the following types of medical care and medical transportation:
- medical assistance provided by medical stations, ambulances;
- medical care at outpatient departments and hospitals in case of a sudden decay of health or accident to the extent necessary to eliminate threat to life and / or pain;
- transportation by medical transport or other vehicle including the costs of medical assistance (medical team, nurse, etc.) from the place of accident to the medical institution, as well as transfer to another medical facility;
- repatriation in case of death; ATTENTION: An insurance company should have a reinsurance contracts with Russian insurance companies to be able to provide certificates of medical coverage valid for an application.
The requirements for completing the questionnaire (Application)
Form (Application) must be filled out online via https://visa.kdmid.ru.
Form must be signed by a blue ballpoint pen (signatures which had been made by ink or black color are not acceptable)

If you are born in Russia or former USSR!
You must provide proof (an official certificate or a letter in any form). The Certificate "Spravka o vyhode iz grazhdanstva".

The necessary documents for the Russian visa
- Original passport with at least two full blank pages valid + 6 months after visummmet would expire.)

- Were you born in Russia or the former Soviet Union, please send a copy of the certificate "Spravka o vyhode iz grazhdanstva".
Do not you have a certificate, please write and attach a detailed note containing your last full postal address in Russia, when and wherever they are moved from Russia.
